Product Features

MaxFind really wanted this electric skateboard to be unique from its competitors. Thankfully, the Max2 Pro has some innovative features that are eye-catching and practical. For this example, we’ll be looking at the dual-motor Max2 Pro to really explain its full potential.

Motor

Under the deck of the Max2 Pro is a dual 600w hub motor, outputting to a 4.4Ah Samsung battery. The amount of power that this motor puts out is enough to start the electric skateboard from a standstill.

Size/Weight

Maxfind Max2 Pro - Size/Weight

The Max2 Pro is a 31-inch shortboard design, almost like a small surfboard. There is no kicktail which may seem unusual, but also doesn’t get in the way of getting on top of it.

Using a combination of glass and carbon fibers, the Max2 Pro weighs just under 15 pounds, making it lightweight and easy to carry in between travels. In addition, the dual-motor variant is capable of supporting a rider weighing up to 220 pounds.

Speed

MAXFIND MAX2 PRO Review - Speed

Between the motor and its sleek design, the Max2 Pro is pretty fast for an electric skateboard this short. The remote that comes with it is a Hobbywing ESC, connected through Bluetooth and has 3 different modes of speed for the user.

Beginner mode starts at 9 mph, Fast mode goes to 16 mph, and finally Max mode goes pretty fast at 24 mph.

Combine that speed with the smooth 90 mm wheels as well as a 15-mile range on a single charge, the Max2 Pro might be a good choice for going down the sidewalk and paved roads comfortably.

Brakes

High speeds require high-quality brakes, and thankfully, MaxFind was able to deliver. The Electronic Regenerative Braking system that the Hobbywing supports is able to come to a complete stop almost instantaneously.

Special Features

Maxfind Max2 Pro - Diamond-Cutting Design

The Diamond-Cutting design of the Max2 Pro isn’t just for looking good. It’s also meant to protect the rider from the environmental collision with water and rubble.

This electric skateboard waterproof rating is IPX7  and the hub motor and battery pack waterproof rating IP65. This makes riding in the rain and wet roads much safer without worrying about the battery shorting out or the motor getting wet.

MAXFIND MAX2 PRO review – Pros and Cons

So far, the Max2 Pro has some pretty great features that are well deserved. However, there are few things to consider before getting this out on the pavement. Even though it has some innovative features, the Max2 Pro might not be for everyone.

Pros

The Max2 Pro is pretty amazing for a cheap price tag. It’s an example of quality over quantity with the strong waterproof build, convenient size and weight, and options for speed. It’s also not as intimidating to get started on as the case would be with some other electric skateboards.

  • Lightweight
  • Waterproof design
  • Smooth ride on concrete
  • Lasts up to 15 miles on a single charge
  • Two-hour charge time

Maxfind Max2 Pro - Smooth Ride

Cons

While the Max2 Pro’s design is sleek, it’s also a bit of a challenge. The choice of a flat board rather than a concave one means you won’t be able to tell if your feet are safe on the board. Also, while the trucks give good flexibility, they’re not shock absorbing.

If you ride on bumpy and rough roads, the vibrations will be felt on your feet. This will make long-range travel a bit more difficult. Also, while the speed is impressive, the range isn’t. So your ride might be cut short if you keep going at top speed.

  • Vibrations from rough roads can be felt
  • The battery range isn’t very far
  • Top speed isn’t as fast as other speed boards

Who Is This Electric Skateboard for?

The Max2 Pro might be a good pick for college students or people who need a commuting vehicle that can take them where they need to go quickly and smoothly. This was designed to be ready to catch the last mile of your destination.

The three-speed mode options mean you can take it as fast or as slow as you need it, which might be what some riders are looking for. Even as just a casual recreational vehicle, the Max2 Pro has enough to offer to make any rider satisfied with their riding experience.

Who Is This NOT for?

As impressive as it may sound, the Max2 Pro isn’t for everyone. This probably wouldn’t be something for those who are looking for a fast electric skateboard that can take them all over the city all day. It’s a short-range commuting vehicle first and foremost.

As mentioned before, the Max2 Pro doesn’t have much in terms of shock absorption, which means riding this outside of smooth surfaces won’t be very enjoyable. For very serious riders who want a heavy-duty electric skateboard that can last for very long, it can’t be recommended.
