Feedback from test ride events showed that younger people desired a smaller and more portable e-bike for commuting and traveling within cities and this led to the design of the Himiway Pony. The Himiway Pony is the brand’s smallest e-bike model in their history, with a total length of 49 inches and height of 41 inches. The bike has an adjustable seat height from 28.3 to 33.5 inches, which fits people from 4’1″~6’2″. It’s also lightweight, weighing only 35 pounds with a reinforced aluminum frame that can carry up to 240 pounds. 

The Pony comes with a powerful 300 watt motor, allowing it to cruise at 20 mph. Along with that, the bike is equipped with a 36-volt, 360 wh battery which provides up to 22 miles of travel on just the throttle alone. The Pony uses an EV-grade 21700 battery, which is the most high-density battery (21% higher than the 18650 battery). The bike also features 20×2.4 inch standard city tires with spoked wheels that can handle all city terrains and a 160MM mechanical disc rear brake. No front brake was included to prevent riders from flipping over the handlebars at high speeds. 

This bike is extremely practical, with its compact design and lightweight frame. Furthermore, the Himiway Pony doesn’t require pedaling, making it easy to ride and avoiding arriving drenched in sweat. On top of that, the bike comes in five different colors, which were personally voted on by the Himiway’s social media followers. The Himiway Pony is priced at $649, but can be pre-ordered during the spring event for only $599. A 180wh version of the bike is available for $499, making it the most cost-effective e-bike transportation option for users. 

#2. Himiway Rambler for Smooth E-bike Transportation Experience

Being a class 3 e-bike, the high-speed motor equally comes with 3 riding modes and 5 levels of pedal assist. You’ll also find an industry-grade Shimano-7 transmission which helps the e-bike blaze on practically any terrain. So far, no complains about the Brawn All-Terrain in terms of its power and speed levels.

Brawn All-Terrain Electric Bike: Range

The Heybike Brawn brought some exciting new features to the table. However, one of the most impressive specs was its long-range capabilities. Going by the brands’ other models, the estimated max range has somewhat been between 30 and 55 miles with or without pedal assist.

However, the Brawn All-Terrain e-bike stepped things up to a whopping 45 miles with throttle, and 65 miles with pedal assist. This is certainly the kind of upgrade many may like to see, especially since it means more time on the road and less charging hours.

After taking the ebike through tough and brutal testing, it seems that the Brawn does live up to expectations. In general, the riding experience has been very comfortable with little vibrations or bumps thanks to the suspensions and shock-absorbing tires.

When braking at high speeds, the hydraulic dual disc brake system ensures a quick and stable stop, greatly reducing braking distance and providing a safer ride. The handlebars have a quick button that allows the seat height to be adjusted freely and conveniently while riding.

The motor has also proven to be a beast in terms of the level of torque it produces, which is excellent for users who love to glide through off-road tracks. Possible Design Changes

We believe that Himiway will only tread a short distance from its signature design models. Plus, if current leaks or rumors are anything to go by, we are certainly expecting exciting new features in terms of design and special features. 

The Himiway Cruiser is one of their latest releases and we saw two variations; the Cruiser and Cruiser Step Tru. The Cruiser came with a beefy and sturdy frame and 26-inch fat tires. There was also the thoughtful full beam front and rear light to make night visibility easier. 

However, while the Himiway Cruiser donned an all-black sleek look, the Cruiser Step-Tru mixed things up with white accents on some parts of the frame. Maybe we’ll see more color options and not just a model that comes in one universal color. 

It would be nice for users who love the extra flair to have options like blue, red, white, and maybe even pink, no? We have seen Himiway switch things up just a little in terms of color palettes and intricate inclusions here and there. If this is an indication of anything, the new Himiway e-bike may rock an even sleeker look.

What we don’t know is if this new ride will embody the same chunky build seen with both the Cruisers and older models as well. Still, it may excite you to know that the Himiway may lean to a more-streamlined frame, and that includes the handlebars. 

Yes, most of their e-bikes have a really buff and tough look, but it seems the brand is looking to stay true to a sturdy build while delivering a slimmer and more sleek look. As you know, Himiway is one of the top brands that pay microscopic attention to details. From the colo play to intricate design details on the pedals and tubes. 

So just as much as you, we are looking forward to some of those toe-tingling details. Even more, many are looking forward to some added advanced features. The Cruiser did satisfy many cycling enthusiasts’ cravings with a multi-functional odometer. It also incorporated USB charging, a speedometer, and a wattmeter. 

However, with many e-bike manufacturers’ embracing more technical features, it seems the Himiway may step things up a little bit. We are thinking of an upgraded motor from the usual 750W motor, to maybe a dual motor or one with more power. 

In terms of battery capacity, Himiway has done wonders using long-lasting Samsung batteries to guarantee at least 30-60 miles on a single charge. However, their batteries take a little more than a while to charge, so who knows, this new model may introduce even less charge time. Yeah, let’s keep our fingers crossed on that one. 

We can say that there may be an improvement in terms of sensor functionality and accuracy, plus an advanced braking system.

Himiway has stuck to mechanical disc brakes over the years, so it may be nice to see them try another option. Maybe a close cousin like the hydraulic disc brakes, just because they tend to enjoy more stopping capacity and modulation. 

Himiway’s Expertise in Long-Range and Fat-Tire E-bikes

Just when we thought we had seen it all in terms of Himiway’s fat tire e-bikes, along came the Cobra and Cobra Pro with CSt super fat tires. These premiered as the biggest fat tires in the industry and were incorporated to deliver more grip and traction on off-road courses. The motor was also updated from the usual 750W to a whopping 1000W for superior power on even the toughest terrains. 

But it wasn’t even the upgraded motor that impressed Himiway loyalists. The 80-mile assurance was certainly more than the cherry on top for avid adventurous who put the need for speed above all else. The Cobra, Big Dog, and and Zebra all promise hours of cycle time with uncompromising performance thanks to their high-end Samsung batteries. 

Practically, e-bikes with lasting battery life, offer several advantages from extended range to greater versatility. There’s also the benefit of improved efficiency, better performance, and potential cost savings. You’ll also notice there’s less need to keep charging the e-bike battery when it lasts longer. 

The reason is simple, increased power and range of e-bikes can make them a great choice for longer commutes, off-road adventures, and other activities. Additionally, they may be more environmentally friendly and require less maintenance and repair than models requiring more in-between charging.

Also, e-bikes with fat tires offer a good number of benefits, especially for adventurous cyclists or people that generally take various routes to their destinations. These benefits include improved stability and traction on rough terrains, better shock absorption for a smoother ride, and increased comfort and safety in different weather conditions.

Fat tires can also provide more confidence for riders on challenging surfaces such as sand, snow, or mud, making them a great choice for off-road adventures. Take the beach for instance, you’ll notice that it’s mostly cyclers with fat tire e-bikes that have full confidence to take a ride through such sandy terrains. 

So far, Himiway has managed to deliver impressive range, solid bike construction as well as versatility. It’s hard to expect less with newer models, especially when they keep adding new features with each release. Whether it’s motor with more capacity, bigger tires, or more battery power, we’re certainly here for it.

Throttle-only mode is limited to a max speed of 20 miles an hour, however, we were able to clock about 21 mph before the speed governor cut power to the motor. 

The report below outlines the Turris’ top pedal-assisted speed at every PAS level. Keep in mind that each speed test was carried out by a 160-pound rider pedaling at a leisurely cadence.

So here’s the scoop, the Falcon Varla allows a maximum weight of 265 lbs, which is about 120kg. Ultimately, it seems the Varla Falcon is built more for light to medium-weight riders. Still, if you’re looking for an e-scooter that will take on more weight, there is always the Varla Eagle one, which allows up to 330 lbs.

While awaiting more information on the Varla Falcon, we can say that the e-scooter comes with two reinforced tubeless tires and dual hydraulic suspension.

One of Varla’s flagship e-scooters, the Eagle One Dual Motor showed us a little bit about how the brand sees power and capacity. The 52V 18.2Ah battery was able to allow a range of 40 miles on a single charge.

The Eagle One pro stepped things up a bit and took that capacity to 60V 27Ah with a max range of 45 miles on a single charge. So, how does the Varla Falcon compare to these top models? First of all, let’s start with its rated capacity; the 48V 10.4Ah battery allows a max charging voltage of 54.6Ah and a nominal voltage of 48V.

It’s safe to say that Varla had to tone down on the battery capacity (size) in order to achieve the phenomenal lightweight frame of the Falcon.

Brakes and Throttle

It will certainly be interesting to see how this performs in comparison to the Pegasus or Eagle One E-Scooters.

Just like the Falcon, the Varla Wasp electric scooter also rocks some distinct features from what we are used to. Let’s explore some of the outstanding features the e-scooter promises.

Motor

If you thought that the Varla Falcon played it a bit safe in terms of their motor and capacity, the Wasp may surprise you further. With a 350W capacity motor, the Wasp may just be the one of first of many Varla e-scooters with such energy efficient motors. Maybe it’s best to look away from the numbers for a minute.

A 350W motor may not compare in power to a 750W motor, but at least the Wasp electric scooter still guarantees efficient performance, and a climbing capacity of 7°.

Speed

There’s no doubt that more brands are trying their best to reduce overall carbon footprint. While there’s no official quote on this concerning the Was e-scooter yet, we do believe that some features were traded off to ensure this. Think about it, the Varla brand is known for delivering e-scooters with top speeds of 45mph, however, the Wasp delivers a safe 18.6mph.

For teens, young adults and seniors who prefer to ride at a safe yet effective pace, this is one Varla e-scooter to consider.

It may be too early to conclude on Varla’s new design and engineering for it’s e-scooters. However, going by the specs of the Wasp, one may think the new plan is power yet energy-efficient e-scooters. The reason is simple, the Wasp e-scooter incorporates a 36V 7.5Ah battery.

From that capacity alone, you may be asking how many miles this sleek e-scooter is able to achieve on a single charge. Well, let’s find out in the next section.

Range

Every e-scooter has a range limit that depends on how long the battery can last. The ca[pacity of the Wasp’s battery may not be fully determined until you take a test ride. However, the Varla brand does give us a figure to rely on depending on various riding conditions.

Generally, the Wasp electric scooter should be able to achieve up to 15.5 miles on a single charge. That seems pretty decent for simple errands and fun runs that aren’t so far from home.

Tire

The Varla Falcon and Wasp may be launched in the same period, however, the brand simply tried their best to ensure there were some significant differences. Take the tires for example, the Falcon sports tubeless tires, while the Wasp sticks to pneumatic tires similar to the Eagle One.

Weight

Let’s make this a little fun, were you expecting the varla brand to go higher or lower in terms of the Wasp’s overall self weight? Remember, the Falcon did weigh less than older models like the Eagle One and Pegasus City Commuter. So, it does make sense that the Wasp would go in that same direction too, right?

Well, if you said lower, you guessed right. The Varla Wasp weighs a minimal 33.07lbs which is about 15kg. It’s maximum payload capacity sits at about 264.6, which is pretty decent considering the Varla Wasp’s weight.

Beyond that, users were impressed by the quick-release levers that allow the frame to swing into its sturdy form. Plus, it only takes three simple steps to fold it back into its portable form. Both handlebars and the frame fold in to give a well-tucked-in form that can be in your car trunk, garage, or even under a desk. 

Moving unto the gear system, the KBO Flip comes with a Shimano 7-speed gear derailleur that makes changing gears on different terrains very instant. Most users have little to no complaints about the gear system for now.

It took the Warrior X Pro about 3.8 seconds to reach that same speed from a complete stop. Even when we tried to find out which scooter would be the quickest to reach 30mph, we were surprised by the Eagle One Pro’s performance. 

It hit 30 mph in 6.2 seconds. The Warrior X Pro on the other hand took about 7.1 seconds to attain that same speed.

Build Quality

I can tell you for a fact that both electric scooters were built with meticulous attention to detail. Their components are well bolted onto their chases and each e-scooter feels solid even at high speeds. 

The Wolf Warrior X Pro’s stem comes attached to the rest of the scooter so you’re probably not going to have any troubles with stem wobbles since all you have to do — after unboxing the scooter is — extend the stem and secure the scooter’s folding mechanism.

The same is the case for the Varla Eagle One Pro. It comes with in-built steering dampers and an efficient folding mechanism.
