Complete Breakdown of the Brawn All-Terrain Electric Bike Review
Motor and Power
The Brawn All-Terrain e-bike comes with a high-capacity 750W brushless motor and a speed of up to 28 mph. This is probably more than decent, as noted during our testing. We felt adequate power on both low and high terrains.
Being a class 3 e-bike, the high-speed motor equally comes with 3 riding modes and 5 levels of pedal assist. You’ll also find an industry-grade Shimano-7 transmission which helps the e-bike blaze on practically any terrain. So far, no complains about the Brawn All-Terrain in terms of its power and speed levels.
Range
The Heybike Brawn brought some exciting new features to the table. However, one of the most impressive specs was its long-range capabilities. Going by the brands’ other models, the estimated max range has somewhat been between 30 and 55 miles with or without pedal assist.
However, the Brawn All-Terrain e-bike stepped things up to a whopping 45 miles with throttle, and 65 miles with pedal assist. This is certainly the kind of upgrade many may like to see, especially since it means more time on the road and less charging hours.
Speed
As mentioned above, the Heybike Brawn is a class 3 electric bike with estimated speed levels of 28mph. It comes with 7-speed levels for users to enjoy, which is great since not everyone wants to ride at blazing speed.
So far, users have little to say about the speed levels. However, it’s important to note that most class 3 e-bikes are prohibited from regular bike paths in some states.. So, if you’re purchasing a class 3 longe-range e-bike like this one, it’s more for adventurous off-road rides rather than commuting.
Weight and Net Weight
It’s so important to know the self-weight of any e-bike you’re purchasing. This goes a long way to determine if it’s an e-bike that can easily be carried around or not. First of all, let’s put it out there, the Heybike Brawn is a heavy-duty bike, from the robust frame to the fat tires. It weighs about 78.3 lbs which is about 35kg.
So, it may not be the best e-bike for lugging or carrying around without a vehicle. But on the bright side, it may practically be harder to steal, right? Plus, thanks to this beast of an e-bike, the payload capacity stands at a generous 400 lbs, which is more than what a lot of e-bikes promise.

Performance and Acceleration of Brawn All-Terrain Electric Bike
The Heybike Brawn’s 846Wh battery capacity provides a range of up to 65 miles with pedal assist. That alone, is quite impressive, but those are just numbers and facts right? We were more interested in the ride quality and general performance of the e-bike.
After taking the ebike through tough and brutal testing, it seems that the Brawn does live up to expectations. In general, the riding experience has been very comfortable with little vibrations or bumps thanks to the suspensions and shock-absorbing tires.
When braking at high speeds, the hydraulic dual disc brake system ensures a quick and stable stop, greatly reducing braking distance and providing a safer ride. The handlebars have a quick button that allows the seat height to be adjusted freely and conveniently while riding.
The motor has also proven to be a beast in terms of the level of torque it produces, which is excellent for users who love to glide through off-road tracks. Thanks to the gear levels, there’s a lot to leverage in terms of acceleration and power. Another impressive feat of the Heybike Brawn is its climbing ability.
It has been fairly easy for us to blaze through hilly terrains without encountering a drop in performance or lag from the motor. Going back to the battery, it requires just 4 hours of fast charging and comes with two charging modes. Since it’s a removable battery, it can be charged on or off the e-bike for convenience.
Design and Engineering of Brawn All-Terrain Electric Bike
The Heybike brand has been known to stick to either step-thru or high-frame designs. With the Brawn All-Terrain e-bike, they chose a high-step frame suitable for people who range from 5’9” to 6’6” in height.
However, the seat’s height can be adjusted thanks to the upgraded hydraulic seat-post Heybike ingeniously included. All you have to do is lift the control button, which can easily be done even when in motion. For the look, it has this ‘motorcycle-style double shoulder design’ that’s definitely eye-catching.
Looking at the innovative side, there’s a multifunctional control unit/LCD display available at the center of the handlebars. The display includes a battery indicator, odometer, speedometer, and pedal assistance power adjustment.
Additionally, the Heybike Brawn included a multi-choice taillight that comes with three different modes of flashing, steady and alternating lighting. However, we noticed a little malfunction with the head and rear lights. There have been a few complaints about the lights either refusing to go off even after turning the switch off or coming on by itself.
Tire and Suspension of Heybike Brawn All-Terrain Electric Bike
One of the major selling points of the Brawn-All Terrain e-bike is the upgraded hydraulic suspensions incorporated to reduce frame vibration on rough terrains. This has proven to work on both rough roads and hilly environments.
It also helps provide a better braking effect and improve steerability and stability on the road. The braking reaction is said to be at least 50% more responsive than mechanical brakes would have been.
As for the tires, the Brawn comes with 26” x4” fat tires that boast a strong grip and equally good shock-absorbing abilities. However, we think including mud fenders on the tires would be a lot more practical. Most users are sure to ride on muddy or messy terrains, and it just makes more sense to have mud fenders to keep excess dirt off the tires and reduce splashbacks.
Conclusion
Finally, the all new all-terrain electric bike, is definitely an upscale from its previous models. If you’re looking for a robust e bike for your next cycling adventure on the high hills, this electric bike is made for you.

Possible Design Changes
We believe that Himiway will only tread a short distance from its signature design models. Plus, if current leaks or rumors are anything to go by, we are certainly expecting exciting new features in terms of design and special features.
The Himiway Cruiser is one of their latest releases and we saw two variations; the Cruiser and Cruiser Step Tru. The Cruiser came with a beefy and sturdy frame and 26-inch fat tires. There was also the thoughtful full beam front and rear light to make night visibility easier.
However, while the Himiway Cruiser donned an all-black sleek look, the Cruiser Step-Tru mixed things up with white accents on some parts of the frame. Maybe we’ll see more color options and not just a model that comes in one universal color.
It would be nice for users who love the extra flair to have options like blue, red, white, and maybe even pink, no? We have seen Himiway switch things up just a little in terms of color palettes and intricate inclusions here and there. If this is an indication of anything, the new Himiway e-bike may rock an even sleeker look.
What we don’t know is if this new ride will embody the same chunky build seen with both the Cruisers and older models as well. Still, it may excite you to know that the Himiway may lean to a more-streamlined frame, and that includes the handlebars.
Yes, most of their e-bikes have a really buff and tough look, but it seems the brand is looking to stay true to a sturdy build while delivering a slimmer and more sleek look. As you know, Himiway is one of the top brands that pay microscopic attention to details. From the colo play to intricate design details on the pedals and tubes.
So just as much as you, we are looking forward to some of those toe-tingling details. Even more, many are looking forward to some added advanced features. The Cruiser did satisfy many cycling enthusiasts’ cravings with a multi-functional odometer. It also incorporated USB charging, a speedometer, and a wattmeter.
However, with many e-bike manufacturers’ embracing more technical features, it seems the Himiway may step things up a little bit. We are thinking of an upgraded motor from the usual 750W motor, to maybe a dual motor or one with more power.
In terms of battery capacity, Himiway has done wonders using long-lasting Samsung batteries to guarantee at least 30-60 miles on a single charge. However, their batteries take a little more than a while to charge, so who knows, this new model may introduce even less charge time. Yeah, let’s keep our fingers crossed on that one.
We can say that there may be an improvement in terms of sensor functionality and accuracy, plus an advanced braking system.
Himiway has stuck to mechanical disc brakes over the years, so it may be nice to see them try another option. Maybe a close cousin like the hydraulic disc brakes, just because they tend to enjoy more stopping capacity and modulation.
Himiway’s Expertise in Long-Range and Fat-Tire E-bikes
Just when we thought we had seen it all in terms of Himiway’s fat tire e-bikes, along came the Cobra and Cobra Pro with CSt super fat tires. These premiered as the biggest fat tires in the industry and were incorporated to deliver more grip and traction on off-road courses. The motor was also updated from the usual 750W to a whopping 1000W for superior power on even the toughest terrains.
But it wasn’t even the upgraded motor that impressed Himiway loyalists. The 80-mile assurance was certainly more than the cherry on top for avid adventurous who put the need for speed above all else. The Cobra, Big Dog, and and Zebra all promise hours of cycle time with uncompromising performance thanks to their high-end Samsung batteries.
Practically, e-bikes with lasting battery life, offer several advantages from extended range to greater versatility. There’s also the benefit of improved efficiency, better performance, and potential cost savings. You’ll also notice there’s less need to keep charging the e-bike battery when it lasts longer.
The reason is simple, increased power and range of e-bikes can make them a great choice for longer commutes, off-road adventures, and other activities. Additionally, they may be more environmentally friendly and require less maintenance and repair than models requiring more in-between charging.
Also, e-bikes with fat tires offer a good number of benefits, especially for adventurous cyclists or people that generally take various routes to their destinations. These benefits include improved stability and traction on rough terrains, better shock absorption for a smoother ride, and increased comfort and safety in different weather conditions.
Fat tires can also provide more confidence for riders on challenging surfaces such as sand, snow, or mud, making them a great choice for off-road adventures. Take the beach for instance, you’ll notice that it’s mostly cyclers with fat tire e-bikes that have full confidence to take a ride through such sandy terrains.
So far, Himiway has managed to deliver impressive range, solid bike construction as well as versatility. It’s hard to expect less with newer models, especially when they keep adding new features with each release. Whether it’s motor with more capacity, bigger tires, or more battery power, we’re certainly here for it.
What’s the bottom line?
The Himiway e-bike brand is expected to introduce exciting new features to its new release(s) in terms of design and technicalities. The new e-bike may have a more streamlined and sleek look, with a potential upgrade in the motor and braking system plus, improved sensor functionality and accuracy.
Himiway’s expertise in long-range and fat-tire e-bikes has already been demonstrated with the Cobra, Big Dog, and Zebra models, so, we don’t expect anything less.
If the performance of the Cobra and Cobra Plus is anything to go by, we can almost bet on a new e-bike with comfort, balance, advanced specs, efficiency, and of course, an even sleeker design in the next few weeks.

The Ride1Up Turris is equipped with a 750W Shengyi geared hub-motor. This motor sits inside the bike’s rear wheel and is capable of propelling the bike to a top speed of 28 mph.
Even with such a powerful motor, the Ride1Up Turris is still one of the most affordable electric bikes on the market. In fact, you’re probably not going to find another Class 3 e-bike that costs under $1300.
Range
The Ride1Up Turris comes with a 48V 12.8Ah Reention lithium-ion battery that guarantees up to 45 miles (72km) of range on a single charge. Using just throttle, we were able to cover about 23 miles (37 km) before completely draining the battery.
Riders should be able to get double that if they limit motor assistance to the minimum (say PAS level 1).
Speed
As stated earlier, the Ride1Up Turris operates as a Class 3 electric bike which means that it is capable of reaching a top pedal-assisted speed of 28 mph (45 kmh). Throttle-only mode is limited to a max speed of 20 miles an hour, however, we were able to clock about 21 mph before the speed governor cut power to the motor.
The report below outlines the Turris’ top pedal-assisted speed at every PAS level. Keep in mind that each speed test was carried out by a 160-pound rider pedaling at a leisurely cadence.
PAS Level 1: 11 mph (18 kmh)
PAS Level 2: 13-14 mph (21 kmh – 23 kmh)
PAS Level 3: 16-18 mph (26 kmh – 29 kmh)
PAS Level 4: 21 mph (34 kmh)
PAS Level 5: 28 mph (48 kmh)
Ride Smoothness
If you’re in the market for a versatile commuter electric bike, the Ride1Up Turris might be the best option for you. It comes with adjustable hydraulic forks that have up to 100mm of travel.
The bike also comes with a Comfort-style saddle and 27.5″x2.4″ Kenda tires which also help improve overall ride quality.
Weight Limit and Net Weight
The Ride1Up Turris is a sleekly-designed 55-pound hybrid e-bike, but don’t let its aesthetic look deceive you; This electric bike can support up to 300 lbs (136 kg) of weight.
That’s way higher than most e-bikes in its class and within its price range (There are very few suspension e-bikes available on the market that can support that much weight). So, if you’re a heavy rider who wants an electric bike that can double as a commuter e-bike and an eMTB, the Ride1Up Turris might just be the best option for you.
Hill-climbing Ability
The Ride1Up Turris is a decent hill climber. It might struggle to climb up very steep hills, but it performs just fine on moderately-steep inclines. Plus it comes with a 7-speed transmission, which allows riders to tweak the bike’s output according to their needs.
Turning, Control, and Balance
You’d be surprised to find out that the Ride1Up Turris actually comes with hydraulic disc brakes. Yes; you read that right! This budget electric bike comes with two 180mm hydraulic disc brakes.
These bad boys are efficient and responsive, providing riders with enough stopping power to bring the bike to an immediate halt. To complement the hydraulic system’s impressive power, Ride1Up has also installed motor inhibitors into the bike’s brake levers. These cut off power to the motor immediately they’re engaged.

Like most Ride1Up electric bikes, the Turris is built to the IP65 water-resistance standard. This means that it is completely resistant to ingress from dust — and other particulates — and water projected from nozzles.
One of the biggest advantages of owning an electric bike with an IP65 water-resistance rating is that you can wash the bike with a pressure washer. Do this with care though as IP65 e-bikes are not built to withstand liquids projected from powerful nozzles.
If you ever decide to purchase a pressure washer for your Ride1Up Turris, make sure you go through its specifications before paying for it. Pressure washers that can generate more than 25 to 30 kPa (3.6 to 4.4 PSI) will not be suitable for your intended use.
Warranty and Shipping
Ride1Up only ships to countries in North America. The innovative e-bike company delivers products to addresses in the Continental United States for free but charges an additional $400 for shipments to Hawaii and Alaska. They also extend a limited 1-year warranty to all initial purchasers of their electric bikes.
Ride1up Turris eBike Review: Why You Should Purchase?
Versatility
The Ride1Up Turris is built to handle various terrains and riding conditions. From a distance, the bike looks like a simple commuter/city electric bike. However, upon close inspection of its specifications, one can deduce that it is a high-performance e-bike.
Its powerful 750W motor makes it suitable for almost any riding condition; grueling or otherwise. Another feature that makes it adaptable to any situation is its long-travel forks and its tires. These guys will smoothen out the bumpiest of rides, improving overall ride quality.
Affordability
The Ride1Up Turris offers excellent value for money. It’s not the most budget-friendly electric bike on the market but you’re probably never going to find a Class 3 suspension e-bike that will beat its price.
We checked!
In the table below, we compare the Ride1Up Turris to various other electric bike models from different manufacturers. You’ll notice, from studying the table, that the Turris offers about the same level of quality and performance as the other e-bikes but at a much more affordable price.
Please keep in mind that all prices listed in the table below are subject to change. While we make every effort to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information, sellers may choose to change the price of their products anytime
Final Verdict
In conclusion, the Ride1Up Turris is an affordable and versatile electric bike that offers great value for money. With a powerful 750W motor, a long-range lithium-ion battery, and adjustable hydraulic forks, it is built to handle various terrains and riding conditions.
Additionally, its high weight capacity, efficient hydraulic disc brakes, and IP65 water-resistance rating make it a practical and reliable option for heavy riders and those who ride in wet conditions. Overall, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly e-bike that can handle various terrains and riding conditions, the Ride1Up Turris is definitely worth considering.

Varla Scooters offers a range of electric scooters to suit different needs and preferences, including the Varla Eagle One and the Varla Pegasus. With a growing community of riders and a commitment to innovation and quality, Varla Scooters is poised to continue disrupting the electric scooter market for years to come.
In the spirit of further innovation and expansion, we hear that two new e-scooters will soon be launched; the Varla Falcon and Wasp Electric Scooters. They promise to be a little bit different from what we’re used to with the other models like the Eagle One and Pegasus.
These up-and-coming sleek e-scooters promise to be the perfect blend of form and function, combining top-of-the-line technology with a stylish and modern design. With their supposed high-performance motors and long-lasting batteries, the Falcon and Wasp electric scooters promise to be the ultimate mode of transportation for urban commuters, weekend adventurers, and everyone in between.
The Falcon and Wasp electric scooters are more than just a mode of transportation – they are a statement. They represent a new era of sustainable mobility, where the convenience of personal transportation meets the need for environmentally responsible solutions.
What’s the Varla Brand All About?
Varla Scooters is a company that was founded in 2019 by a group of electric scooter enthusiasts who were not satisfied with the quality and performance of the electric scooters available in the market.
They decided to design and build their own high-quality electric scooters, which would provide riders with a smooth and comfortable ride, as well as an extended range.
Features of the Falcon Electric Scooter
Rumors reveal that the Falcon Electric Scooter rocks a sleek and innovative, yet simple design. While we don’t have all the details on performance and ride quality, there are a few features to look out for in the Falcon Electric Scooter.
Speed
Different states in the US have regulations guiding the use of e-scooters and e-bikes. For example, the New York Department of Transportation states that e-scooters may be ridden on streets and bike lanes at no more than 30mph. This limit is well within the speed the Falcon Electric Scooter promises.
The Eagle One E-scooter dazed users with up to 40mph in speed, so many would expect that the Falcon would deliver even more in terms of acceleration. After all, the Falcon is one of the fastest animals alive. However, Varla decided to keep the e-scooters speed at 22 mph. This may sound a bit underwhelming for e-scooter enthusiasts that are expecting more in terms of speed.
Range
The average e-scooter may be able to ride for 25-40 miles on a single charge. Varla has been known to satisfy customers with ranges from 28- 45 miles. However, it seems the Falcon delivers numbers a little lower than one would expect from the brand. With 25 miles in a single charge, the Falcon falls a little short, especially when compared to other Varla models.
However, 25 miles is pretty decent for city commuters who are looking to run errands, visit friends, or simply ride to work/school and back.
Weight
It seems Varla has changed things up a little bit in terms of their e-scooter weight. We saw the Pegasus weigh 66 lbs, while the Eagle One Pro weighs up to 90 lbs. The latter e-scooter is also relatively new, so it’s interesting to see that the falcon weighs a lot less.
For riders who were eagerly waiting for a lighter option that’s also easier to move around, the Varla Falcon may just be the answer. It weighs only 50 lbs, which is about 16 lbs lighter than the Varla Pegasus City Commuter.
Payload Capacity
For an e-scooter that weighs less than 60 lbs, it’s quite impressive to know how much the Falcon can carry. For those who consider themselves heavy riders, we are sure the new Varla E-scooter’s payload capacity will surely interest you.
So here’s the scoop, the Falcon Varla allows a maximum weight of 265 lbs, which is about 120kg. Ultimately, it seems the Varla Falcon is built more for light to medium-weight riders. Still, if you’re looking for an e-scooter that will take on more weight, there is always the Varla Eagle one, which allows up to 330 lbs.
Tires and Suspension
We can all agree that when it comes to tires and suspension, the Varla brand knows its wheels. Take the Eagle One Pro, for example, the e-scooter sports 11-inch air tubeless tires with a grooved surface. It also comes reinforced with an explosion-proof surface and plus dual hydraulic brakes.
While awaiting more information on the Varla Falcon, we can say that the e-scooter comes with two reinforced tubeless tires and dual hydraulic suspension.
Battery
One of Varla’s flagship e-scooters, the Eagle One Dual Motor showed us a little bit about how the brand sees power and capacity. The 52V 18.2Ah battery was able to allow a range of 40 miles on a single charge.
The Eagle One pro stepped things up a bit and took that capacity to 60V 27Ah with a max range of 45 miles on a single charge. So, how does the Varla Falcon compare to these top models? First of all, let’s start with its rated capacity; the 48V 10.4Ah battery allows a max charging voltage of 54.6Ah and a nominal voltage of 48V.
It’s safe to say that Varla had to tone down on the battery capacity (size) in order to achieve the phenomenal lightweight frame of the Falcon.
Brakes and Throttle
The Varla brand has generally stuck to hydraulic disc brakes, especially with the Eagle One and Eagle One Pro. So, did they stick with the status quo or change things up? Well, a little bit, similar to the Pegasus Dual motor, the Varla Falcon sports both an electronic and disc brake.
It will certainly be interesting to see how this performs in comparison to the Pegasus or Eagle One E-Scooters.
Water Resistance
There’s nothing as daunting as riding around on a fairly sunny day watching the clouds threaten to release droplets of rain. While most e-cooters may not promise high IP ratings that can survive deep-water submersions, most of them guarantee continued performance even after light showers of water.
The Varla Falcon is no different, with an IP54 rating, it guarantees protection from light drizzles, water splashes, dust, and guided washing.
One of the major advantages of the falcon e-scooter should certainly be its weight. Riders are always looking for lighter alternatives they can easily carry around and store. It seems this is exactly what the Falcon will bring to the table. Even more, than its weight advantage, the Falcon also has a moderate max speed.
This may seem like a downer at first, but if you take into consideration how unsafe higher speed levels can be, 22 mph may sound a lot better. The electronic and disc brake combination would also be another feature we will like to see play out.
Combining both disc brakes and electronic brakes ensures the excellent braking power disc brakes guarantee and the weight and maintenance benefits of electronic brakes.
Features of the Wasp Electric Scooter
Just like the Falcon, the Varla Wasp electric scooter also rocks some distinct features from what we are used to. Let’s explore some of the outstanding features the e-scooter promises.
Motor
If you thought that the Varla Falcon played it a bit safe in terms of their motor and capacity, the Wasp may surprise you further. With a 350W capacity motor, the Wasp may just be the one of first of many Varla e-scooters with such energy efficient motors. Maybe it’s best to look away from the numbers for a minute.
A 350W motor may not compare in power to a 750W motor, but at least the Wasp electric scooter still guarantees efficient performance, and a climbing capacity of 7°.
Speed
There’s no doubt that more brands are trying their best to reduce overall carbon footprint. While there’s no official quote on this concerning the Was e-scooter yet, we do believe that some features were traded off to ensure this. Think about it, the Varla brand is known for delivering e-scooters with top speeds of 45mph, however, the Wasp delivers a safe 18.6mph.
For teens, young adults and seniors who prefer to ride at a safe yet effective pace, this is one Varla e-scooter to consider.
Battery
It may be too early to conclude on Varla’s new design and engineering for it’s e-scooters. However, going by the specs of the Wasp, one may think the new plan is power yet energy-efficient e-scooters. The reason is simple, the Wasp e-scooter incorporates a 36V 7.5Ah battery.
From that capacity alone, you may be asking how many miles this sleek e-scooter is able to achieve on a single charge. Well, let’s find out in the next section.
Range
Every e-scooter has a range limit that depends on how long the battery can last. The ca[pacity of the Wasp’s battery may not be fully determined until you take a test ride. However, the Varla brand does give us a figure to rely on depending on various riding conditions.
Generally, the Wasp electric scooter should be able to achieve up to 15.5 miles on a single charge. That seems pretty decent for simple errands and fun runs that aren’t so far from home.
Tire
The Varla Falcon and Wasp may be launched in the same period, however, the brand simply tried their best to ensure there were some significant differences. Take the tires for example, the Falcon sports tubeless tires, while the Wasp sticks to pneumatic tires similar to the Eagle One.
Weight
Let’s make this a little fun, were you expecting the varla brand to go higher or lower in terms of the Wasp’s overall self weight? Remember, the Falcon did weigh less than older models like the Eagle One and Pegasus City Commuter. So, it does make sense that the Wasp would go in that same direction too, right?
Well, if you said lower, you guessed right. The Varla Wasp weighs a minimal 33.07lbs which is about 15kg. It’s maximum payload capacity sits at about 264.6, which is pretty decent considering the Varla Wasp’s weight.

Specs and Features of the KBO Flip Folding Electric bike
The KBO folding e-bike is a unique and versatile mode of transportation that offers the convenience of folding for easy storage and transportation. In this breakdown, we’ll explore the full range of specs and features that could potentially make this bike a top choice for urban commuters and adventure-seekers alike.
From its powerful electric motor to its lightweight frame and durable tires and even the basic or underwhelming features that have not gone unnoticed. Let’s explore all of that.
Motor and Power
One of the major things the Founder of the KBO Flip promised when the e-bike first premiered were convenience, performance, and affordability. It’s safe to say that the advanced 500W brushless geared motor delivers on the second bit.
A 500W motor delivers enough power to jolt any e-bike to 20 to 25mph speeds. Plus, the KBO flip has performed well on trails, off-road tracks, and sandy beaches. This shows that the e-bike can easily navigate challenging and rough terrains with minimal effort.
In addition to the consistent performance, the motor also offers durability and longevity, making it a reliable power source for the KBO Flip. However, we have seen equally light e-bikes with up to 750W motors. That means more speed, better capacity, and equally more range.
In the KBO Flip’s defense, the 500W motor is reliable enough to achieve safe and enjoyable speed levels that potentially meet state-to-state by-laws.
Range
On the KBO website, the range is listed at 60 miles, however, that distance is practically achievable with pedal assist. With just pure electric cycling, the range would probably deliver 35 to 40 miles on a single charge.
If you ride moderately, you should be able to achieve up to 50 miles on a single charge. That’s pretty decent for work commutes, leisure rides around the block, or adventurous rides near home. Basically, if you are not using the throttle a lot or activating pedals assist a ton, the KBO Flip should deliver more than 30 minutes of battery-assisted cycling.
Performance and Acceleration
The KBO Flip has gotten a lot of good reviews in terms of its performance and capacity. The e-bike comes equipped with a 15.6Ah lithium-ion battery that delivers up to 35 miles of pure electric cycling when fully charged. Many fat tire or heavy e-bikes use 48 volts batteries, however, that also translates to a higher price.
The 36-volt batteries may not deliver in terms of extra high amp hours, however, this 15.6Ah battery still promises up to 60 miles in range. For a not-so-heavy e-bike, the battery was equally smartly placed behind the seat. This makes the weight distribution more centralized and less tricky than other placements sometimes prove to be.
In addition, the battery comes with a lockable and removable option. This is probably one of the perks of the KBO Flip’s battery system. Users who prefer charging their batteries separately can do so.
The users that have extra space and no time to pull out and reassemble the battery can easily charge the battery while it’s still attached to the e-bike.
Another raving feature that got users talking is the twist throttle. In this age of constant innovation, manufacturers sometimes like to push limits.
People prefer the simple twist throttle cause it’s easy to use and practically mimics a power bike’s acceleration system. Plus, this smart twist system requires a gentle ‘half-right-twist’ to get your cruise on.
Talking about simplicity and easy accessibility, there’s also a multi-functional backlit display that shows the odometer, speed level, battery level, and other vital features. You’ll also find the controls for changing gears and powering on the e-bike right beside the display unit.
Weight Limit and Net Weight
The KBO Flip E-bike weighs about 57 lbs which is about 25.8 kg. Most e-bikes weigh between 20 to 30kg, so 25 is neither too light nor excessively heavy. However, smaller riders may find it more challenging to carry this around.
Additionally, the total payload capacity for the KBO Flip is 275 lbs, which is pretty decent for a folding electric bike. There’s also a sturdy integrated rear rack for extra haulage space.

Let’s talk about the design and general engineering of the KBO Flip E-bike. First of all, we’ve established that it’s a foldable e-bike, which may give users the feeling that it’s hard to assemble. Surprisingly, most users said the bike was easy to assemble, regardless of the wide design and folding parts.
Beyond that, users were impressed by the quick-release levers that allow the frame to swing into its sturdy form. Plus, it only takes three simple steps to fold it back into its portable form. Both handlebars and the frame fold in to give a well-tucked-in form that can be in your car trunk, garage, or even under a desk.
Moving unto the gear system, the KBO Flip comes with a Shimano 7-speed gear derailleur that makes changing gears on different terrains very instant. Most users have little to no complaints about the gear system for now.
They also raved about the rear lights which come on immediately after you hit the brakes. That, plus the CPSC-certified headlight makes riding through traffic at night a little more safe and convenient.
As mentioned above, the extra-wide design helps to keep the e-bike well-balanced, and also makes riding on rough terrains more comfortable. Most of the KBO Flip e-bike’s specs and features seem to work well, however, some users did complain about the high build on the e-bike.
Some riders found it slightly more challenging to climb onto the KBO Flip compared to, let’s say, the KBO Ranger.
Suspension and Tire
The KBO Flip Foldable E-bike sports two fat tires which are incredible options for commuters, city riders, and adventurers alike. The 20” x 3” fat tires have a wider tire surface that’s supposed to help the e-bike stay stable and maintain traction on all terrains. They tend to float or cruise through dirt roads better than thinner tires.
In addition, the tires are reinforced with high-performance dual front suspension forks that help with traction and shock absorption. They work to make the ride, in general, more comfortable, and so far, most of the users can attest to this fact.
Who is This Product For?
The KBO Flip is an affordable foldable e-bike for both commuters and adventurous bikers. It comes with an easy-to-assemble frame, a strong aluminum build, and sturdy and stable fat tires. Its wide yet sleek frame is suitable for riders between 5’1” to 6’2” inches in height. While it may not have a step-thru form, it’s still relatively simple to mount, ride and operate.
City commuters who are looking for an attractive and relatively lightweight e-bike with a decent payload capacity may want to jump on this one. The KBO Flip’s powerful motor and relatively dgood range may also be great for commuters that need to go the extra mile without having to stop and charge.
Who is This Product Not For?
Weighing slightly more than 25kg, the KBO may not be the best option for cycling enthusiasts looking for an extra lightweight e-bike. Plus, fun-sized riders who prefer a step-thru design may want to check out other options that are smaller and easier to mount.

Varla Eagle One Pro: Range
Both of these electric scooters have wonderful range capabilities. The Wolf Warrior X Pro can cover up to 60 miles (97 km) of range thanks to its 60V 28Ah battery while the Varla Eagle One Pro comes with a slightly smaller battery than the Warrior X Pro (60V 27Ah).
During our range tests, we were able to cover about 36.1 miles (58.1 km) on a full charge of the Varla Eagle One Pro. The Wolf Warrior X Pro performed slightly better with a range of 40.9 miles (65.8 km).
Both scooters feature two charging ports, allowing for more efficient charging and reduced downtime.
Performance and Acceleration
Wolf Warrior X Pro: Performance & Acceleration
Varla Eagle One Pro: Performance & Acceleration
While the Wolf Warrior X Pro may have a higher motor rating than the Varla Eagle One Pro, it doesn’t pack a punch like the latter. During our acceleration tests, the Varla Eagle one pro clocked 20 miles an hour in under 3 seconds.
It took the Warrior X Pro about 3.8 seconds to reach that same speed from a complete stop. Even when we tried to find out which scooter would be the quickest to reach 30mph, we were surprised by the Eagle One Pro’s performance.
It hit 30 mph in 6.2 seconds. The Warrior X Pro on the other hand took about 7.1 seconds to attain that same speed.
Ride Smoothness
Wolf Warrior X Pro: Ride Smoothness
Varla Eagle One Pro: Ride Smoothness
Both electric scooters are equipped with dual suspension systems. The Wolf Warrior X Pro comes with hydraulic forks in the front and coil spring shocks in the rear while the Varla Eagle One Pro is fitted with coil spring shocks in both the front and rear ends.
There really isn’t much difference between the two in terms of ride quality. Their shock absorbers are a bit stiff which makes them better suited for off-road riding.
Weight Limit and Net Weight
Wolf Warrior X Pro: Weight Limit & Net Weight
Varla Eagle One Pro: Weight Limit & Net Weight
The Varla Eagle One Pro weighs about 90 lbs (41 kg) and is able to support up to 330 lbs (150 kg) of weight while the Wolf Warrior X Pro tips the scales at 79 lbs (36 kg) with a payload capacity of 265 lbs (120 kg).
Build Quality
I can tell you for a fact that both electric scooters were built with meticulous attention to detail. Their components are well bolted onto their chases and each e-scooter feels solid even at high speeds.
The Wolf Warrior X Pro’s stem comes attached to the rest of the scooter so you’re probably not going to have any troubles with stem wobbles since all you have to do — after unboxing the scooter is — extend the stem and secure the scooter’s folding mechanism.
The same is the case for the Varla Eagle One Pro. It comes with in-built steering dampers and an efficient folding mechanism.
Display and Controls
Wolf Warrior X Pro: Display & Controls
Varla Eagle One Pro: Display & Controls
The Wolf Warrior X Pro comes with a minimalist Minimotors display that records the scooter’s speed, range, battery consumption (in both blocks and percentage readout), and speed/motor mode. The Varla Eagle One Pro, on the other hand, comes with a more advanced LCD meter.
This LCD comes with a color screen and an NFC lock. Like the Warrior X Pro’s LCD, it also displays the scooter’s speed, range, battery consumption, and speed mode.
Water Resistance
Wolf Warrior X Pro: Water Resistance
Varla Eagle One Pro: Water Resistance
The Varla Eagle One Pro is IP54 certified and can withstand dust and water sprays from any direction, safeguarding its electronics. Kaabo doesn’t exactly specify the Warrior X Pro’s water resistance rating but I assume it should perform just fine under light rainy conditions.
Upgrades and Accessories
The Varla Eagle One Pro comes standard with front and rear lights, a heavy-duty kickstand, a rear fender, and a footrest. The Wolf Warrior X Pro is also equipped with a kickstand, front and rear fenders, two ultra-bright headlights, and a rear light.
The biggest difference between the two is that the Wolf Warrior X Pro comes with two headlights and they’re located higher up the e-scooter’s stem and there are long LED strips located on either side of the deck.
